R.I.P Mark Neville

News about Mark Neville - 22nd February 2010, 2pm:

It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing away of our friend and colleague, Mark Neville. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Neville family at this time. We realise that many friends within the surfing world will want to attend a thanksgiving service in due course. We don't have any details as yet. But as soon as any become available, we will include them here - or provide a web link to them.

We are preparing a book of Mark's achievements and life within the surfing industry which will be given to Mark's wife and children. We invite all to contribute a tribute and / or any pertinent photographs of Mark so that his legacy is remembered, particularly by his young children.

Media: Media organisations preparing news articles are encouraged to speak to a friend of the family that has been chosen as their contact. Please contact Quiver Surfboards / Seabase UK for their details.

  3. Sorry to read about the sad outcome. My deepest condolences to you and your colleges and of course Mark's family.

Did not have the pleasure to meet Mark personally, but my memories are of a guy that managed to shape me and my mates some great boards that gave us do much more pleasure that just any old piece of glassfiber ever could.

  5. I want to express how sorry I feel about the death of Mark Neville. I knew
him as a great guy and of course a very good shaper who shaped a couple of
hundred boards for us and left every client happy with a perfect board.
What a loss for the surfing comunity, your company and of course his friends
    and family!

  7. To all at Seabase,
Not really to sure what to say in situations like this.....

I was absolutely devestated to hear about Nev, he was one of the nicest guys I ever met in the Surfboard industry, a true craftsman and a personal idol.

My thoughts are with everyone involved, stay strong.
