Quiver Wants Your Photos + Videos

TO ALL OUR PAST AND CURRENT QUIVER RIDERS OUT THERE

Quiver Surfboards wants your photo and video footage.  You have bought a Quiver board from us or will be getting the board you've ordered in the next few weeks and now we want to get you featured on our Quiver site.   We want to make the brand as much about our customers as it is about our top international team riders.  If you have any photos featuring you with your Quiver board - on the beach, in the surf, up the mountains or wherever, send them in to us.  If you have any videos featuring you surfing your Quiver board, also send them in to us.  If you want to do a small video clip saying what you are riding and what you think of the board then send that in to us as we want to feature it on the website.

Now as a little incentive, we are going to give you a nice voucher worth £25 to be put towards a new Quiver board.  This is on top of the £25 loyalty credit that you will get if this is your second or more board from us so if you decide to submit anything to us, we will give you £50 straight away off a new board.  Thats a pretty darn good deal if we do say ourselves.

Here are a few tips for the photos + videos:

  • Feel free to get as creative as you like with your photos + videos.  We want them to stand out.
  • If you decide to make a video talking about your Quiver, you can mention: Your experience, height, weight, model you are riding and dimensions, what you like about it and what conditions it works well in.
  • Please ensure you have permission to use the photos/videos that you submit from the photographers/videographers as we really don't want to get into trouble!!
  • Please send links of the videos to us (you can upload to youtube, vimeo or any other video site)
  • Deadline for entry is 30th April 2012 with prize winners drawn by 7th May 2012.  You can submit any time after this but unfortunately there will be no prizes left for you :(

To top this off, we are going to select the best 3 entries that we get and give you a prize of Beyond Surf Accessories including a FREE Beyond tail pad and Beyond day use bag worth RRP £63.  These will be carefully chosen by the factory boys here at Quiver.

If you have any queries about this request, just get in touch with us.  Any submissions can be forwarded to us at: info@quiversurfboards.co.uk

Thanks for your support

Empty Waves in Bonny Scotland

Quiver team rider Dee Ripoll has been making the most of the sunny days back home in Scotland and nice to see an empty line up (getting more rare these days to see this). Here's a few nice shots from up North.

Quiver Signs Up Surf Action 2012

Quiver Surfboards and Seabase are very excited to announce their support for Surf Action in 2012.

Photo Title 1

Surf Action is a community interest company and non-profit organisation whose core purpose is to support combat veterans, especially amputees and veterans who experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) through surfing and associated support. It has proved to be a powerful tool to change peoples self perception and self belief, helping them to discover a new and more positive direction in life. Surf Action was set up by Rick Emerson, himself a combat veteran who suffered from PTSD, with some pilot funding from the Cornwall Works pooled funds.

The additional ESF Convergence investment through Cornwall Works 50+ enabled Surf Action to test their delivery model with people aged 50+ who were lacking motivation and confidence and who were unsure about their future direction. This is achieved through participating in peer group surfing activity that is both physically and mentally challenging and often perceived as a young persons activity.Evidence from the individual case study materials shows that Surf Action is making a real difference to people’s lives, in terms of improved motivation and confidence to move towards getting back into work. One way this is put into action is by holding weekly clinics at Gwithian Towans. Here attendees aged 50+ can go to the beach with the team and find out what an exhilarating, positive and social experience there is to be had. The clinics are held every Friday, meeting at the Sunset Surf Cafe at noon. If you are interested in attending, call Russ or Rich on 01736-811920 or email russ@surfaction.co.uk
Since the initial investment through Cornwall Works Surf Action has been successful with a Lottery Funded People’s millions bid of £50,000 to develop the activity, as well as being nominated for the ‘Best Healthy Project’. This is a reflection of how this innovative activity is inspiring people to engage. For more information, please check their site out - www.surfaction.co.uk
